1) Consider the Suit

The wearing of suits for a job interview is never outdated. Go for a suit that has dark, sober colors. Avoid bright-colored suits. Colors like navy blue and charcoal are appropriate. A cotton suit is advisable to a linen suit, even in the summer. This is because linen ends to crease easily. Pick a bespoke suit that is not too big or too small for you; let it be one that fits you.

2) Consider the Shirt

A white cotton crisp shirt is most appropriate. Wear a simple shirt collar, for instance, a traditional straight point or a considerably less dressy button-down.  Ensure your shirt doesn’t have monograms or jaunty contrasting white-collar-and-cuffs. Cuffs should have one or two buttons. Some interviewers see cuff-links as atrocious, so it is advisable you avoid wearing them except you just have no shirt with buttons.

3) Consider the Tie

Don’t go for bright patterns on ties; such patterns have been considered as distracting by interviewers. Always ensure your tie complement your shirt and suit. You may wear a non-patterned, mono-colored tie on a plain, white shirt.  Colors such as green and navy blue can be appropriate too. You may use a Half-Windsor knot when knotting your tie. Anyway, it is advisable you knot your tie based on the shape of your face.

4) Consider the Shoes and Socks

Wear black or brown shoes. Black shoes can go along with a black or gray suit, while brown shoes can go along with a brown suit.  Go for leather shoes and never suede. Oxfords are ideal for a job interview. Ensure your shoes are well-polished for the job interview. Be cautious of your socks too because it might get noticed by the interviewer. Your socks should complement your trousers and shoes. It is advisable that it is solid and dark in color.
